Penentuan Kadar Asam Lemak Bebas (ALB) Dari Crude Palm Oil (CPO) dengan Menggunakan Metode Titrasi Alkalimetri pada Tangki Truk Pada PT. Sarana Agro Nusantara

Abstract

The determination of free fatty acid content from Crude Palm Oil (CPO) produced by PT. Perkebunan Nusantara and the results are compared with free fatty acid content according to standard of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) standard which has been set by Indonesian National Standard (SNI) has been done. The method used in determining the free fatty acid content in this CPO is by using an alkalimetry titration, using a 0.1 N KOH solution as pentiter, Phenolpfthalein as an indicator and mixture of n-hexane and ethanol as the solvent. From the observation result, the free fatty acid content in truck tank from PTPN III Rambutan is 3.09%, PTPN III Sei Mangke is 4.30%, PTPN III Sei Silau is 5%, PTPN IV P. Raja is 3.58 %, And PTPN IV Ajamu is 3.95%. Thus the free fatty acid content in the CPO of each PTPN has met the standard of export acceptance standards and standards of acceptance of palm oil quality in PT Sarana Agro Nusantara ie free fatty acid content of 5%.
