    Abstract
    Having done analysis of iron element that was found in the soil of oil palm in Pusat Penelitian Kelapa Sawit (PPKS) Medan. Analysis of iron has been started by drying the soil and sifting, than it was added by Ammonium acetat (CH3COONH4) material pH 4,8 until finally iron element has been done with Atomic Absorption spectrophotometry in wave length 248,3nm. From the analysis, the content of iron is 3 – 6 ppm. This element has not full filled standart namely 10.000 – 100.000 ppm (mg/L) which established by PPKS.
