dc.description.abstractThe effect of washing pesticide residue in tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum L.) with the active material of cholorpyrifos spreading out in Pasar buah brastagi kabupaten karo was performed using gas chormatography. Gas chromatography equipped with electron catcher detector, and colomn RTX-1 MS. Chlorpyrifos is one type of organophosphate insecticides containing phosphate, and broad spectrum. From the results obtained residue level of pesticides in tomatoes from Pasar buah brastagi kabupaten karo without washing 02928 mg/kg, tomatoes are washed with running water 0,19545 mg/kg, tomatoes are washed with soaeked water 5 second 0,2421 mg/kg, tomatoes are washed with detergent soaeked 5 second 0,1538 mg/kg, it shows that tomatoes are washed with detergent soaked 5 second method is more effective and the levels of pesticide residue ini tomatoes does not exceed the maximum residue limits of pesticides that have been identified by the National Standardization ISO 7313 : 2008 on maximum residue limits of pesticides on agricultural crops of tomatoes is 0,5 mg/kg.en_US
