Abstract

Pulp is the raw material for making paper. Standards quality of Pulp is measured by brightness and strength of the pulp fibers. Alkaline conditions is used in this stage. It is for reduce the kappa number of pulp because when the kappa number is still high, this will affect the brightness of wantid achieved and pulp fiber strength will be low. we can concluded that the pH is very influential at this stage therefore be in a state oversight alkaline pH.
