dc.description.abstract | Pepper is a kind of Indonesian superior spices which is traded internationally.
Pepper which is traded in Indonesia is divided into two types: black pepper and white
pepper. Even though Indonesia is known as the biggest pepper exporter in the world,
the fact is that its export tends to decrease. The pepper is exported to various
countries which have their own characteristics. The objective of the research was to
analyze some factors which influenced the export of Indonesian black pepper und
white pepper. The data were panel data which consisted of time series data (2001-
2012) and cross section data of eight countries of pepper export destination: the
United States, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, India, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and
Taiwan. The data were analyzed by using panel data analysis with an Eviews 6
software program.
The result of the analysis showed that 1) Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of
the export destination countries, population of export destination countries, and
rupiah exchange rate on US. dollars had positive and significant influence on
Indonesian export of black pepper to destination countries. The price of Indonesian
export of white pepper to destination countries had negative but significant influence
on Indonesia export of black pepper, while the price of Indonesian export of black
pepper to destination countries did not have any significant influence on Indonesia
export of black pepper to destination countries. 2) Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of
destination countries, the price of Indonesian black pepper in destination countries,
and population of destination countries had positive and significant influence on
Indonesian export of white pepper to destination countries, while the price of
Indonesian white pepper in destination countries and rupiah rate exchange on US.
dollars had negative but significant influence on Indonesia export of white pepper to
destination countries. 3) The best destination countries for Indonesian export of black
pepper were the United States and Singapore, while for Indonesian export of white

dc.description.abstract | Lada merupakan jenis rempah unggulan Indonesia yang diperdagangkan
secara intemasional. Lada yang diperdagangkan Indonesia dibagi kedalam dua
jenis yaitu Jada hitam (Black pepper) dan Jada putih (White pepper). Meskipun
Indonesia merupakan salah satu pengekspor lada terbesar di dunia namun
ekspomya cenderung semakin menurun. Ekspor lada ditujukan keberbagai negara
tujuan ekspor yang memiliki karakteristik masing-masing. Tujuan dari penelitian
ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ekspor lada hitam
dan lada putih Indonesia. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data
panel yang terdiri dari data time series (2001-2012) dan data cross section delapan
negara tujuan ekspor lada yaitu Amerika Serikat, Belanda, Hongkong, India,
Jerman, Jepang, Singapura dan Taiwan. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah
model analisis data panel dengan menggunakan software Eviews 6.
Hasil analisis menunjukkan : I) Gross Domestic Product (GDP) negara
tujuan ekspor, populasi negara tujuan ekspor, dan nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar
berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap ekspor lada hitam Indonesia ke negara
tujuan. Harga lada putih Indonesia di negara tujuan berpengaruh negatif dan
signifikan terhadap ekspor lada hitam Indonesia di negara tujuan. Sedangkan
harga lada hitam Indonesia di negara tujuan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap
ekspor lada hitam Indonesia di negara tujuan. 2) Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
negara tujuan, harga lada hitam Indonesia di negara tujuan, dan populasi negara
tujuan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap ekspor lada putih Indonesia ke
negara tujuan. Sedangkan harga lada putih Indonesia di negara tujuan dan nilai
tukar rupiah terhadap dolar berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap ekspor
lada putih Indonesia di negara tujuan. 3) Negara tujuan terbaik ekspor lada hitam
Indonesia adalah Amerika Serikat dan Singapura. Sedangkan negara tujuan
terbaik ekspor lada putih Indonesia adalah Belanda, Hongkong, Jerman,
