dc.description.abstractFree fatty acid concentration of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) in vacuum dryer and storage tank has been determined. A method for determining the concentration of free fatty acid in vacuum dryer and storage tank was investigated using volumetric by heating up to 45oC and addition of 0, 1 N KOH. As the result, the free fatty acid concentration of CPO is obtained as follows: in vacuum dryer I : 4,06%; II : 4,03%; III : 4.07%, in storage tank I : 4,90%; II : 4,85%; III : 4,93%. From the observation, the concentration of Free Fatty Acid from Vacuum Dryer and Storage Tank is <5, 00%. Therefore, the concentration of Free Fatty Acid qualifies the requirements specified by PORAM (Palm Oil Refiners Association of Malaysia).en_US
