In the cooking process should be used appropriate comparison between liquor with wood chips called liquor to wood ratio. Liquor to wood ratio states the ratio between liquor with wood chips. Liquor to wood ratio relates to the quality of the pulp produced is indicated by the value of kappa number. The higher the liquor to wood ratio of the value of kappa number will be higher because the liquor to wood higher lead volume, especially black liquor liquor becomes higher. The volume of black liquor that causes the higher kappa number is high because the composition of the black liquor that mostly contains lignin. Based on observations of the liquor to wood that is well used to achieve the target kappa number 6 is 3.88.en_US
