Penentuan Viskositas dan Bilangan Kappa pada Proses Pencucian PULP di PT. Toba PULP Lestari Tbk, Porsea.

Abstract

The quality of pulp produced when it’s being processed ( kraft ) may be influenced by several factors, such as viscosity and kappa number. Then aim for viscosity analysis is to determine the power of pulp afterwards bleaching. On the other kappa numbers analizes is to get information of lignin rest of capacity afterwards process of boiling and clearing before going on final process of bleaching. Knowing the number of lignin done by doing titration permanganometry the in pulp by using KMnO4. Based on the result of analysis, the value of kappa number and viscosity of pulp sulfide (kraft) is synerone with the standart value determined by PT. Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk. Porsea is that the viscosity for paper A4 is 16 – 18 and kappa number is 10 – 13. On the other side, the result of analysis for viscosity for A4 paper is 16,69 and kappa number is 11,01.
