dc.description.abstractStudies have been conducted analyzing the influence of the amount of the purity of the methanol distillation column based on parameters of TMA, acetone, ethanol, acidity, and water content, which this analysis refers to IMPCA (International Methanol Producers and Consumers Assocition) revised 2010 by analysis using gas chromatography method for the analysis of TMA , acetone, and ethanol, then acidimetry titration method for the analysis of acidity and karl fischer method for analysis of water content. Analysis of the influence of the number of columns is done by calculating the levels of impurities TMA, acetone, ethanol, water, acetic acid and methanol contained in the output of each distillation columns so that the analysis results are obtained respectively: (1) raw methanol Tank is 2478.8 ppb: 6.18653 ppm: 480.6267 ppm: 13.8667% wt: 274 ppm, (2) bottom prerun column is 549.9267 ppb: 3.1023 ppm: 479.86 ppm: 12.91867% wt: 262 ppm, (3) F07 column top pressure is 1,263 ppb: 2.9283 ppm 4.158 ppm: 0.0110367 wt%: 23 ppm, (4) top atmospheric column is 0.0489 ppb F05: 0.67 ppm: 1,615 ppm: 0.01725% wt: 23.533 ppm. And also obtained the results of the calculation of the level of purity methanol after passing through the columns. The results of the calculation are: (1) Raw methanol tank is 90.63%, (2) Bottom prerun column is 96.235%, (3) Top pressure column F07 adalah99, 9097%, and (4) Top atmospheric column is 99.93%. Influence the amount of purity methanol distillation column is where each column has a function and each specialist in separating methanol of impurities, further enhancing of purity.en_US
