    Abstract
Production of liquid aluminum at PT INALUM require raw material is alumina (Al2O3). Feeding alumina (Al2O3) has two methods Regular Feeding and Demand Feeding. Demand feeding method used is feeding alumina (Al2O3) based on the needs of the reduction furnace. The concentration of alumina (Al2O3) on the reduction furnace operation ranged between 2% - 4%. The concentration of alumina (Al2O3) <1% will result in anode effect (AE) and the concentration of alumina (Al2O3) > 5% causes the sludge to the reduction furnace, both of which can interfere with the reduction furnace operation that affect the productivity of aluminum.
