dc.description.abstractThe presence of water in glycerine results in the glycerine quality to be low.Thisis becausewater is a substancethat is notexpected toexistintheglycerinthat makeglycerinreducedpurity.In this casePT.SOCIMASMedanconducted an analysistodeterminethe water contentinglycerin. Analysisperformedby the methodof water contentbyKarlFishertwinprinciples ofelectrolysiswhereplatinumis usedas anelectrode. Then the waterwillreactwithsulfurdioxidein the presence ofiodineandalcoholbase. Determination ofwater contentby KarlFischermethodwill be determinedthe concentration ofthe samplerather thanglycerin. Where theconcentrationoftotalglycerin(100%) will be reduced by thewater content, it will be knownconcentrationofglycerin. Dimanwaterwillaffectthe quality rather thangliseriso thatthe water levelshould be checkedtomeetdemandrather thanconsumers.en_US
