dc.description.abstract | Artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science that is concerned with
automating intelligent behavior. Expert systems are a branch of artificial
intelligence that provides quality solutions to the problems experts in a specific
domain. Expert systems are computer programs that mimic the thought processes
and expert knowledge to solve a specific problem. Implementation of expert
systems are widely used for commercial purposes because an expert system is
seen as a safe way of expert knowledge in a particular field into a computer
program so that it can provide decision intelligently and perform reasoning. The
final task will discuss about web-based expert system for diagnosing and treating
diseases of the Pets. The method used is a forward chaining with the forward
search, with a design that is simple and in accordance with existing rules. The
program is expected to be made on behalf of a specialist in the diagnosis of
diseases in pets. Expert System that is used as a tool made for one to know the
