Analisa Lignin terhadap Tandan Kosong Sawit di Pusat Penelitian Kelapa Sawit (Ppks) Medan

Abstract

Lignin analysis has been carried out on oil palm empty fruit bunches of oil palm empty research center (PPKS) Medan. To determine the lignin content of cellulosa on oil palm empty fruit bunches are analyzed by the method klason with a mixture of alcohol : benzene 1 : 2 to eliminate the extractive, by immersion for 6 hours. Followed by reconstituted with 72% sulfuric acid to remove carbohydrates by immersion for 2 hours. Then the part is not soluble in sulfuric acid 72%(lignin), filtered, dried, and weighed. Lignin content obtained is 0,9971% - 14,1131%. From the above data obtained cellulosa can be used, because they contain less lignin levels.
