Pengaruh Pemasangan Kapasitor terhadap Coefficient Of Performance (COP) Split Air Conditioner dan Reduksi Harmonisa

Abstract

Non linear load causes harmonics. Air conditioning of inverter type is one of non linear loads which yield harmonics. Harmonics in Air Conditioning must be reduced so that it does not disturb the quality qf power in the system and in the grid. The capacity qf an Air conditioning unit to make a room cold is known as Coefjicient qf Pe,formance (COP). This can be seen from the comparison between heat energy which is needed to make a room cold and electric energy which is used in that unit. In this case, the effect, caused by the reduction of harmonics from COP, can be seen. The filter of harmonics reduction used in this research was a 16 µF capacitor which alw functions as the improvement for power factor. The result obtained after using the capacitor shows the decrease in the value qf harmonics current (JHDlj in ordo 1, ordo 3. ordo 5, ordo 9, ordo 19, ordo 23, ordo 39, ordo 41, and ordo 49. After the measurement(?{ COP, it increases from 2. 7 40 to 3.176. This indicates that besides the capacitor functions to improve power factor, it can also fanction to reduce harmonics and to increase COP.
