Society Empowerment is a strategy to increase the people’s ability from the powerless
situation up to having a power developing potency they have so that they live properly. As a
Social Organization moved in society development sector, Ate Keleng Foundation does this
endeavor through Credit Union’s groups they formed. It did in effort to wielding their
member’s loan through saving in the Credit Union.
This research is classified as explanative research that aimed to prove a hypothesis
Empowerment Impact through Credit Union to Group Development Ate Keleng Foundation
Supported. Numbers of population in this research were 323 people from Syaloom Credit
Union’s members. To represent the population, the researcher took 10% from the whole
population that was 32 people from the Credit Union’s members. In this case, researcher
chose sample who were members that already took Advocate activity, Society Economy
Development, and Infrastructure that have been done in TanjungPurba village sub district
Dolok Silau Simalungun regency.
This research’s result that there were impacts of the hypothesis Empowerment Impact
through Credit Union to Group Development Ate Keleng Foundation Supported in Tanjung
Purba village sub district Dolok Silau Simalungun regency. This development could be seen
from the way people more critical with the Advocate activity, people’s income increase by
means of agriculture and animal farming activity Society Economy Development and the
needs of water was filled by the Water Infrastructure through the Infrastructure activity. This
empowerment did gave impacts to the group development, however the blooming didn’t
work out to every member so Ate Keleng Foundation as the doer still needs more efforts to
invite the whole members of Credit Union to wield the loan through the activities they
arranged.
