Analisis Kondisi Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Pasca Erupsi Gunung Sinabung di Desa Kutambelin Kecamatan Naman Teran Kabupaten Karo

Abstract

The eruption of Mount Sinabung that occured since 2010 and provide an enormous impact on life society in Kutambelin, began from material costs and non-material. The big impact is all of residents must leave their village to place of evacuation and caused volcanic ash, agricultural land damaged and forced economic activity stops for a while. Return of Kutambelin society in February 2014, make them to create a strategy to survive and try to recover their economy conditions and get back their socio-economic conditions has been stopped for a while. After returning to their village, the psychal condition still in fears and worries because the eruption of Mount Sinabung unstable. This research is descriptive and qualitative approach to describe the data obtained from the field and then analyzed with words. This research aims to know description about socio-economic conditions and life strategy of society after the eruption of Mount Sinabung in Desa Kutambelin Kecamatan Naman Teran Kabupaten Karo. Data collection was conducted by field observations and interviews to the informants. Based on data collected and analyzed, it can be concluded that the life strategy did by society in Kutambelin is to be aron (casual laborers) on land that can still be processed to recover the state of the family economy conditions. While socio-economic problem conditions of society in Kutambelin has declined. This matter result land jobs really hard because their own personal lands that can’t be cultivated so that impact to revenue declines. Also psychal conditions society in Kutambelin have trauma about condition of Mount Sinabung.
