Peran Stakeholder dalam Menata Ketertiban dan Kebersihan Pasar Tradisional Sukaramai Kota Medan

Abstract

A traditional market refers to a public place where direct transactions and bargains between sellers and buyers take place. Most traditional markets in Medan are chaotic and disordered. for example Sukaramai Traditional Market. Surrounding the building of Sukaramai market are many street vendors using the road bed along Jalan A.R.Hakim to sell their goods. This phenomenon causes the chaos around the market. · This research employs descriptive method with qualitative analysis, uses primary (interviews, observation, and documentation) and secondary data collecled from various literatures, and selects 16 stakeholders of Sukaramai Traditional market as informants. The data collected are analyzed applying Meleong technique by reducing data. presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of This research demonstrate that not all of the stakeholder have roles in organizing the order and cleanliness of Sukaramai Traditional Market. It is in line with results of the research on all related stakeholders, saying that Ihe City Cleanliness and Landscape of Medan does not take part in the organization and management of the order and cleanliness of the market. It is indicated the flexible law enforcement by the stakeholders and the noncompliance of market activists as the markel actors with the prevailing regulations.
