Pengaruh Parafin pada Pembuatan Papan Partikel Serat Acak Sabut Kelapa

Abstract

At this research, made particle board of coconut coir fibre with glue rate 10% and paraffin rate variation of 0%, 0,5%, 1%, 1,5% and 2% This research aim to know influence of paraffin rate to nature of fisis (water absorpsion, thick development and water rate) and nature of is mechanical (firmness broken and limber strength) and to be compared to standard of JIS

From result of this research, can know that paraffin rate can improve the nature of particle board fisis where more and more given paraffin rate hence progressively mount also the nature of obtained fisis. While passed to paraffin rate is particle board do not influence the nature of is mechanical of particle board.

At examination of nature of fisis that is thick development test have fulfilled standard of JIS A 5908-2003, while rate test irrigate which have fulfilled standard of JIS A 5908-2003 that is there are at paraffin rate 0,5- 2 %. At examination of nature of mechanical that is firmness test broken have fulfilled standard of JIS A 5908-2003, while strong test flex which have fulfilled standard of JIS A 5908-2003 there are at paraffin rate 0%
