dc.description.abstractThis thesis describes a model for determining the location of hubs in communication networks, of course concerning the there are problems of location. To be effective, the functions of hub of the networks, are necessarily to be determined so that the necessary traffic from a terminal can be directed through different hubs. The Model for determining the location of hubs in communication networks Con- side red, is the network with two layers or more the two layers in the network are: the network backbone and he access networks. Determination of hub location problems that arise in the design of this communication network is analyzed in two different types of nodes: access nodes, which is the source and destination of traffic demand that cannot be connected it directly, and transit nodes, which do not have a last request a cross itself but collect traffic from access nodes and sends it via the network. This thesis also presents an integer program formulation for the optimal solution to reduce the cost of backbone column.en_US
