dc.description.abstractThis research was conducted with the aim to know the influence of oil palm shell ash in conblock making. Conblock made cylindrical with a diameter of 5cm. Printed as a normal conblock making comparison with the mixed adobe palm shell ash. In this study the shell ash was added to the mixture of palm oil with a composition of conblock 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% of the weight of sand used. After the mass of drying for 28 days and then conblock tested, both mechanical testing and physical testing according to existing procedures. From the research results show that a strong press with a mixture of ash brick shell on the composition of palm oil 10% and 20% close to the strong press adobe normal. Results conblock water absorption by using oil palm shell ash is 15.03% - 23.13% larger than a normal conblock. Results on the conblock density using oil palm shell ash is 1.69 gr/cm3 - 1.41 gr/cm3 lower than the normal conblock. And the result of violence in ash conblock making using oil palm shell which is 94HB - 83HB adobe lower than normal.en_US
