This research was intended to know the alcanolamide composition to bentonite clayas a good
filler (mechanic properties of natural latex product and effect vulcanitasion temperature)
Vulcanitation is a process the linier molecules of rubber had been reacted sulfur crosslingking.
Before natural latex is used to produce a product it’s needed to do crosslingking. This reaction
changed the rubber which is soft and plastic to be the rubber which is hard and strong. In this
research is usedbentonite clay as a filler and alkanolamide as balancer.The material were used
in this research high ammonia latex 60 %, kuratif material such as : sulfur, ZnO, ZDEC,
antioxidant, KOH, bentonite clay, and alkanolamandide,with the formulation 5 gr bentonie clay,
1 gr, 2 gr, 3 gr, 4 gr and 5gr alakanolamide. This research was done in the variation
temperature 100 oC, 110 oC, 120 oC, increases of 5 % filler and vulcanitation time was 10
minutes. The intended of this research was to know the effect of vulcaniatation temperature and
alkanolamide composition into bentonite clay as a good filler (mechanical properties of natural
latex product). The obtained results like mechanical properties crosslink density tensile strength
and elongation at break of film natural latex was decrease in the increasing of the filler with 5 gr
alkanoloamide compoistion.
