    Identifikasi Senyawa Bentonit Pasir Kucing (Cat Litler) dengan Menggunakan Metode X-Ray Fluorosence (XRF)

    Abstract
    An identification of bentonite cat litler compound was done in testing hall and Identification of B Belawan Type of Goods. The methods used are Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) method, wet chemical, and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF). Initial bentonite was tested using Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR), after FT-IR bentonite was done wet chemical test, after bentonite wet chemical test was tested using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF). The result of using FT-IR method is potassium phosphate having wave number 1025-550 cm-1 and silver phosphate with wave number 965-560 cm-1. The result of wet chemistry using KMnO4 in which bentonite is incorporated into KMnO4 solution yields a pale KMnO4 solution. The result of X-Ray Flurosence method is SiO2 53,87%, Al2O3 7,31%, Fe2O3 2,94%, CaO 2,39%, and K2O 1,3%.
     
    Telah dilakukan penelitian identifikasi senyawa bentonit cat litler di Balai Pengujian dan Identifikasi Barang Tipe B Belawan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR), kimia basah, dan X-Ray Fluorosence (XRF). Awal mula bentonit di uji dengan menggunakan Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR), setelah dilakukan FT-IR bentonit dilakukan uji kimia basah, setelah dilakukan uji kimia basah bentonit diuji dengan menggunakan X-Ray Fluorosence (XRF). Hasil dari menggunakan metode FT-IR yaitu kalium fosfat yang mempuyai bilangan gelombang 1025-550 cm-1 dan perak fosfat dengan bilangan gelombang 965-560 cm-1. Hasil dari kimia basah menggunakan KMnO4 dimana bentonit dimasukan kedalam larutan KMnO4 menghasilkan larutan KMnO4 pucat. Hasil dari metode X-Ray Flurosence ialah SiO2 53,87%, Al2O3 7,31%, Fe2O3 2,94%, CaO 2,39%, dan K2O 1,3%.
