dc.description.abstractAs reported in the online news website www.tribunnews.com dated November 14, 2014, with the title "Engineer Must Could Make the MEA to wake Infrastructure". In the news explained there are 59 topics covered in the conference between union organizations as ASEAN Engineers to 32. But from 59 topics that discussed there are 3 main things that come from exposure to the engineers of the ASEAN . The third thing that is the solution for energy supply, transportation and integrated infrastructure. In line with the above, the Civil Engineer is expected can meet the needs of an integrated infrastructure in Southeast Asia. For that we need the maturity or skills an engineer in the planning of infrastructure to be built. One of the infrastructure planning that we already know, namely the construction of a bridge. As for the topic of discussion in this thesis is to find out comparative amount of reinforcement and cables on the beam PCI and Beams Box, as it also writer wanted to know how many dimensions are used for both types of beams and compared against to the overall economy beams in the review of the inforcement’s work, it is reinforcement work and its prestressed cables. Data collection and processing techniques created by assuming long-span bridges and the collection of literature-literature that supports, from which processed to obtain the necessary design. Processing of the data, it turns Box beams give the expected value to the overall economy. Comparative price calculated at 2 PCI: 1 Box. But the comparison can only be compared to the inforcement’s work only. It is recommended that the calculation of other work that supports the construction of the bridge is calculated again in order to obtain estimates of the cost of real, or details of the construction of the bridge.en_US
