Health education is methods to prevent NAPZA abuse which plays an essential role in providing the knowledge of NAPZA to students. The research is to find out the influence of health education through film and poster on NAPZA to improvement of the students' knowledge and attitude at SMK Negeri 1 Jorlang Hataran, Simalungun District in 2016. The type of the research is a quasi-experiment with Pretest-Posttest Group Design. The population is 321 students of grade X and XI. Thirty students are in film group and 30 are in poster group taken by using simple random sampling technique. The data are analyzed by t-independent test. The results of the research show that health education through film and poster has influence on the students' knowledge of NAPZA. The change in knowledge resulted by poster is higher with mean value of 4.33 and deviation standard of 1.241 than that of film with mean value of 3.60 and deviation standard of 1.499. This poster is more effective on the knowledge of NAPZA for the students than film. Film and poster also influence the students' attitudes toward NAPZA. The change in attitudes resulted by film is higher with mean value of 14.20 and deviation standard of 4.405 than that of poster with mean value o/9.63 and deviation standard of 4.716. Thus film is more effective on the students' attitudes toward NAPZA than poster. Schools are expected to cooperate with BNN and department of health to include health education by using poster into media and film about NAPZA.
