Analisis Karakterisasi dalam Kisah ى˚ ش ال ش ع ي د ح /As-Sa’īdu Ḥasanun/ Sa‟Id Hasan Karya Kamil Kailani
Abstract
This study discusses the characterization of the story "as-sa‟īdu ḥasanun " by Kamil Kailani.
Characterization analysis is part of a literary analysis study of characters, namely the depiction of
the characters found in the story “as-sa‟īdu ḥasanun”. The purpose of this research is to know
the characterization of the direct method (telling) and the indirect method (showing) contained in
the story “as-sa‟īdu ḥasanun”. This study is a library research. The method used in this study is
the listening method and note taking technique and descriptive analysis. The theory used is a
characterization of fiction by Albertine Minderop. The research results show that there are 47
characterizations in the story "as-sa‟īdu ḥasanun " by Kamil Kailani using character names, on
characters: grandmother (also plays the role of me), grandchild, Sa'id Hasan (also plays the role
of the father, carpenter), mother (also plays the role of the carpenter's wife), child, queen bee
(role as me too), bird (role as me too), and frog (role as me too), 22 characterization through
character appearance, 12 characterizations through the author's speech, 9 characterizations
through dialogue consisting of: 2 what the speaker says, 1 the identity of the speaker of the
protagonist, 1 the identity of the speaker of the subordinate character, 3 locations and 4
conversational situations, 1 the identity of the intended character by the speaker, 1 mental quality
of the characters, 1 tone of voice, 1 stress, 1 dialect and vocabulary, through behavior, 1 facial
expression, 1 underlying motivation. The conclusion that can be given is that the direct method
(telling) and the indirect method (showing) used by the author in the story “as-sa‟īdu ḥasanun”.
