This thesis research aims to find out what cultural sites are in Sianjur Mula-mula Subdistrict, toponymy and story telling of cultural sites in Sianjur Mula-mula Subdistrict, and also the utilization or influence of cultural sites in Sianjur Mula-mula Subdistrict on tourist. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Data analysis methods used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusions. The theory used in this thesis is Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic theory. Charles Sanders Pierce's concept of semiotics focuses on the trichotomous relationship between signs. To find out the toponymy of each cultural site in Sianjur, first it will be related to the trichotomous relationship. Then the commodification theory where commodification becomes a tool in preserving, maintaining, maintaining and developing the nation's cultural identity. The results obtained in this thesis are that there are several cultural sites in Sianjur Mula-mula District, toponyms and story telling of several cultural sites, and the benefits of each cultural site for tourism. The conclusion from the results of this study is that researchers only discuss a number of cultural sites, based on toponymy and story telling of cultural sites it is known the origin of the naming of each site, in the utilization of cultural sites as cultural tourism objects commodification is used, namely in the form of ulu balang, tour packages and souvenirs.
