Keanekaragaman Jenis Ikan di Sungai Bingai Desa Belinteng Kecamatan Sei Bingei Kabupaten Langkat
Abstract
Sei Bingei is a sub-district in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra province and is fed by the Bingai River. The people of Belinteng Village generally use the Bingai River for bathing, washing, latrines, nature tourism, fishing and sand extraction. This research was conducted in July-August 2022. The aim of the research was to determine the diversity of fish species and the relationship between aquatic physico-chemical parameters and the diversity of fish species in the Bingai River, Belinteng Village. This study used a purvosive sampling method using a backpack electrofishing unit with a 12 volt battery with 9 amperes. The results showed that there were 10 fish species. The highest diversity index (H') values were at Station III (1.41), Station I (1.28) and Station II (1.21). Uniformity index (E) at station I (0.62), station II (0.75), station III (0.67) and dominance index at station I (0.34), station II (0.43), station III (0.31). Based on Pearson correlation analysis, it was found that there was a relationship between the water quality parameters of the Bingai River and diversity, temperature had faint correlation, DO had a very faint positive correlation, depth, brightness and pH had a faint positive correlation and
curents had a strong positive correlation.
