dc.description.abstract | The Aceh Tengah District is an area prone to landslides. This is due to the
fact that the topography of Aceh Tengah District is in the form of hills and many
micro faults. To reduce the risk of landslide impacts, the authors utilise the
Geographic Information System (GIS) as an application for mapping landslide-prone
areas.
According to Peraturan Menteri Departemen Pekerjaan Umum No. 22 tahun
2007, landslide vulnerability is divided into 3, which are low vulnerability, moderate
vulnerability, and high vulnerability. In determining the vulnerability,
Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum divides 2 aspects that cause landslides, notably
the natural aspect and the human aspect. This research was conducted
according to natural aspects which consisted of 7 indicators, which includes slope,
soil type, rock type, rainfall, seismicity, flow density, and vegetation. The mapping
in this study was carried out using one of the GIS software, namely
Q-GIS.
In accordance with this research, the results of mapping the landslide-prone
areas were divided into 3 levels of vulnerability. For a low
vulnerability level in Aceh Tengah District, is 19,83% or an area of 877,83 km², for
a medium vulnerability level is 74,24%or an area of 3286,79 km², and for a
high vulnerability level is 5,91% or an area of 262,05 km². | en_US |
