Tematisasi sebagai Pemicu Metafora Gramatikal pada Editorial Harian Kompas

Abstract

An attemp to understand or realize the experience in a field based on or by appointing another field called a metaphor. Basically it is divided into two, namely lexical metaphor and grammatical metaphor. In accordance with the Iexical use the term metaphor refers to lexical meaning or understading a meaning. Grammatical metaphor is a metaphor that is formed from the grammar that are used for a particular experience but are used for other experiences. ln the newspaper the establishment of the grammatical metaphor is basically formed by changing the element of Rheme thematization into themesand by the changes from the oral language into written language. The author tried to describe the forms of grammatical metaphor contained in the daily editorial is KOMPAS daily with twenty-four to editorials are taken randomly. The use of the grammatical metaphors in newspapers are generally intended to eventually make the editorials more compact with the least number of lexical words to utilize the column. The columnsize is small to inform the news as much as possible. Another finding is the emphasis of meaning to expose a variety of ideologies in the editorials.
