Pengaruh Kelas Ibu Hamil terhadap Pengetahuan dan Sikap Ibu tentang Pemeriksaan dan Perawatan Kehamilan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Pijorkoling Kota Padangsidimpuan Tahun 2015

Abstract

In the working area of Pijorkoling Health Center, eventhough pregnant women class began in 2014, but pregnant women lvtowledge abofi ideal prenntal care wos still poor, and some of them thought thot it was not necessary to examine their pregnancy to the health care providers. The objective of the research was to find out the influence of pregnant women class on their lcnowledge and attitude toward examination and care of pregnancy. , The research used quantitative method with cross sectional design. The population was l5l pregnont women in the working area of Pijorkoling Health Center, Padangsidimpuan, and 132 of them (63 pregnant womenwho participated in pregnant women class and 69 pregnant women who did not) were used as the samples.The datawere analyzed by using independent t-test at a: 0-05. The result of the research showed that the range of total score of lcnowle.dge in women who participated in pregnant women class was 7-13 at the mean of 10.0811.82, while the range of total score of women who dtd not participate was I-9 at the mean of 4.97+1.94. There was the influence of pregnant wonxen class on women's l*towledge about examination and care of pregnoncy (p< 0.0A1). The range of total score of attitude in women who participated in pregnant women class was 4t-56 at the meon of 48.24t i.13, while the range of total score of women who did not participate was 27-47 at the meon of j5.418.82. There was the influence of pregnont women class on women's attitude toward examination and care of pregnancy (p < 0.001). It is recommended that the Padangsidimpuon City Health Ofrc" schedules Pijorkoling Health Center to implement pregnant women class regularly, twice a year. Pijorkoling Health Center should maintain the quality of pregnant women class and provide counseling by summoning pregpant women to participate in pregnant women class
