Kerjasama Antara Pemerintah Indonesia dan Malaysia dalam Upaya Menanggulangi Perdagangan Narkoba di Wilayah Perbatasan Antara Kedua Negara Studi Kasus: (Kerjasama BNN dan PORLRI dengan PDRM)

Abstract

This research raises the title of cooperation between the governments of Indonesia and Malaysia in an effort to tackle drug trafficking in the border areas between the two countries with a case study of cooperation between BNN and POLRI with PDRM. This study uses the theory of international cooperation and the concept of transnational crime. The method used in this study is qualitative using descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of this study found that the efforts of the Government of Indonesia in eradicating drug trafficking from Malaysia were more focused on law enforcement and prevention efforts. This is done with the aim of breaking up and eradicating cross-country drug networks. Of course, based on the origin of drugs, the majority come from Malaysia, which has direct land and sea borders. However, the two countries still find difficulties in carrying out complete eradication. This is because the ideal form of agreement between the two countries has yet to be found in terms of monitoring drug entry routes, as shown by the lack of joint patrols by the two countries over land and sea routes in the border area.
