Abstract

Research by tittle Behavioural Changes In Adolescence as a Victim Of Domestic Violence (Case Study: Kelurahan Sidorejo Hilir Sub District Medan Tembung) aims to determine the changes in attitudes experienced by adolescents after experiencing acts of physical violence and the condition of their confidence after experiencing acts of physical violence in their families and the efforts of adolescents to avoid the violence they experience. The method used in this study uses a qualitative approach. This type of research is a case study that is analyticaldescriptive in the form of written words or direct quotations from informants. Data collection was carried out by interviewing several informants who were considered to meet the research criteria. In addition, researchers used data collection techniques in the form of participatory observation which was carried out to observe behavior or events that occurred at the research location. The results of this study explain how physical and psychological violence that occurs has an impact on adolescent development. Where teenagers who become victims do things that are inappropriate or get harsh treatment from their parents. Adolescents who experience violence will have an impact on their behavior and attitudes in the future, even to the detriment of themselves. The forms of violence experienced by adolescents, based on the observations and interviews that the authors conducted, are physical forms of violence such as hitting, pinching, slapping, and tweaking, sometimes even leaving marks.
