Many breeding places of mosquitoes is related to increasing of chikungunya infection rate. Methods: This was a descriptive study for 50 samples of Ae. aegtpti by using Reverse-Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction technique. Mosquitoes were caught from four villages of two endemis chikungunya subdishicts that is Sei Rampah subdistrict and Sei Silinda subdistric. Each of the villages, as much as ten mosquitoes were caught on morning to afternoon. Result: The result showed 13 samples were positive for chikungunya virus from 50 samples which were examined. Minimum Infection Rate is l30o/@. I)iscussion: Chikungunya viral n Ae. aegtpti was detected by RT-PCR technique in four villages in Sergai Regency
