Currently, tap water is one of the alternatives to fulfill the requirement for clean water. Various water treatment methods are carried out to make water suitable for consumption so it safe for human health.
Population growth and various activities carried out by residents certainly have an impact on increasing the requirement for clean water quantity. Deli Tua Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is one of the water treatment units owned by PDAM Tirtanadi with raw water sources originating from the Deli’s river.
The stages carried out in completing this final project are first compiling the required data both primary and secondary data. The next stage is to evaluate the existing units of the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in the form of calculating the effectiveness and efficiency for the dimensions of the existing processing building then the production water quality data is evaluated against the planning parameters and applicable standards.
The results obtained from the evaluation of the Deli Tua installation (IPA) are that it can treat raw water to produce clean water that meets quality standards. However, there are problems in several processing units that should be repaired to improve the performance of the installation.
