Analisis Headloss pada Pipa dengan Aliran Unsteady Menggunakan Software Openfoam (Studi Kasus Kelurahan Sei Agul)

Abstract

PDAM is a company that serves the needs of clean water as a regionally owned enterprise. The observation location is PDAM Tirtanadi, Sei Agul Village, Medan Barat District, Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia, which has an area of ± 10.7 km2. The purpose of this study was to analyze the head loss on an elbow-shaped pipe with a speed that changes with time, the simulation time bracket is 18 hours starting at 03.00 to 21.00 according to the pump operating hours. The data that has been obtained will be used as input data for the OpenFOAM Software and processed so that the results are obtained in the form of pressure and velocity values at the outlet every hour, then calculations are carried out to get the headloss value. Simulation results can also be displayed in 3D so that you can see the level of difference in speed and pressure at each simulation time. From the simulations performed, convergent values are obtained for every hour the simulation is carried out. The simulation results show that the headloss value is in the range of 0.000787 m to 0.003489 m. The simulation is also carried out with a sinusoidal speed by entering the highest speed value, which is 0.29 m/s with the pressure results showing a sinusoidal plot.
