dc.description.abstractThis study aims to obtain palm ash and rice husk ash in the nano-size particles with 2.5 M NaOH solution process for 4 hours and then dissolved in a ball mill for 15 hours. To determine the effect of nano-particles of oil palm ash and rice husk ash in the nano-size particles in the blends between HDPE and compatibilizer Polyethyelene Maleic anhidride grafted (PE-g-MA) and without compatibilizer as well as to determine the optimum composition of the nanoparticle mixing palm ash and ash rice husk in a nano-particle size on the blend between HDPE and compatibilizer (PE-g-MA) and without compatibelizer .As for the preparation of nano composite laboplastomil done on the internal mixer at a temperature of 150 °C at a rate of 60 rpm for 10 minutes with a variation of the composition of nano particles of ash boiler oil palm and rice husk ash in the nanoparticle size on the composition (0,2,4,6,8, and 10)% by weight. The results obtained from XRD analysis rice husk ash particle size of 50.6 nm with the density of 3.2500 g/cm 3 type of Quartz crystal with cell parameters a= 4.5350 A, c = 5.1700 A hexagonal crystal system . Size Palm Oil boiler ash particles 100 nm cristobalite crystal type tetragonal crystal system with a density of 2.3020 g/cm3 • the result nano composites by XRD analysis generally follows the diffraction patterns of HDPE, but intercalation occurs between HDPE matrix with palm ash nano and nano rice husk ash with the addition that a shift in the intensity and the diffraction angle and cause an increase in the mechanical properties of tensile strength and elongation at break .From mechanical properties analysis results obtained with the addition of nano rice husk ash and boiler ash nanoscale mechanical properties of palm oil increased in the composition of 2 to 6% compared with pure HDPE .In general strength appeal without compatibilizer greater than compatibelizer. Morphological analysis results seem to occur even distribution of nano-particles of rice husk ash and oil palm boiler ash nano particles of oil, allowing both homogeneous mixture. From the DSC thermal analysis no change in the melting temperature with the addition of nono composition of ash and rice husk ash nano but not too significant. TGA analysis of the occurrence of visible thermal stability with addition composition of rice husk ash and boiler ash palm where the decomposition temperature above 600 ° C.en_US
