Performance is the result of work that can be achieved by an employee in a company in accordance with the goals and standards of an employee set by the company. Optimizing performance, employees must be supported by the role of leaders who are able to understand, motivate and care about their employees. Empowering leadership as an empowering leader will be able to become an agent of change capable of transforming organizational change for the better. Employee performance is also supported by organizational culture which can be an attitude or guideline in carrying out performance as well as a characteristic that can distinguish it from other organizations.
This study aims to analyze the influence of empowering leadership and organizational culture on employee performance at PT. Bank SUMUT Sidamanik Sub-Branch Office. The influence between empowering leadership and organizational culture will be analyzed partially and simultaneously on employee performance.
The form of research used in this research is quantitative research. Sampling was done through a saturated sampling technique involving 35 people who worked. The data collection technique is through primary data obtained through direct questionnaire distribution and secondary data obtained through books, journals, which are related to this research. The data analysis method used is validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis assisted by SPSS.
The results of the research conducted indicate that the variables empowering leadership (X1) and organizational culture (X2) together have a significant effect on employee performance (Y). The coefficient of determination test shows that there is a fairly close relationship between empowering leadership and organizational culture on employee performance with an R value of 0.692. Through the adjusted R square value, it is also known that the empowering leadership and organizational culture variables contribute 44.7% to the employee performance variable, the remaining 55.3% is influenced by other variables not explained in this study.
