dc.description.abstractThe existence of human resources in a company plays a very important role. In companies, employee performance can be influenced by various factors such as workload. A high workload can affect employees in completing their work. To help with the high workload in the company, you can pay attention to employee work motivation. Motivation is one of the important factors to achieve good performance. This study aims to analyze how the influence of workload and motivation on employee performance at Pt. Perkebunan Nusantara IV (Persero) Medan. The influence between workload and motivation will be analyzed partially and simultaneously on employee performance. The form of research used in this research is quantitative research with an associative approach. Sampling was done through simple random sampling technique and used 80 respondents as samples. Primary data used in this study was obtained by distributing questionnaires directly to employees (respondents) while secondary data was obtained through literature study. The data analysis method used is validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that workload and motivation have a significant effect, either partially or simultaneously (together) on employee performance at Pt. Perkebunan Nusantara IV (Persero) Medan. The coefficient of determination test shows that there is a fairly close relationship between workload and motivation on employee performance with an R value of 0.612. Through the value of Adjusted R Square or the value of the coefficient of determination shows that the variable Workload (X1) and Motivation (X2) can explain the Employee Performance variable (Y) by 35.8%, while the remaining 64.2% is influenced by other variables not discussed. in this research.en_US
