This study focuses on comparative language styles and their functions. The purpose of this study to describe the language style comparison of stylistic functions contained in the lyrics of the band Mooner in the album O.M. The theory applied in this study is the stylistic theory of language style and qualitative methods related to the value or impression on the object. Comparative language style is a style of language used to express something by comparing it to something else because of the similarity of properties, forms and others. This language style serves as the life of a sentence and makes a sentence more beautiful and does not leave the aesthetic value of a work. The results of the study found five comparative language styles and their functions, namely: (1) smile/parable, (2) personification, (3) allegory, (4) antithesis, and (5) pleonasm. Of the five styles of language found seventeen stylistic functions as: (1) despair, (2) beauty, (3) hatred, (4) weakness, (5) sadness, (6) regret, (7) loneliness, (8) jealousy, (9) anger, (10) compassion, (11) joy, (12) distress, (13) anxiety, (14) gluttony, (15) pride, (16) lies, and (17) lies, this stylistic function that will cause the effect of emotional expression to the listener, such as sad, desperate, happy, hated, angry, confused, disappointed, jealous, relieved, and anxious.
