Abstract

This thesis is entitled Ceremony Pasahat Indahan nasinaor On Toba Batak ethnicity in Pargarutan Village Village, Sorkam District, Central Tapanuli Regency Study: Oral TraditionsIn general the word "pasaha” is “ give” and the word “Indahan” namely “Rice / Food”. And the word "Nasinaor” is a word that can be quoted from the word “Parsaoran/marsaor” which can be interpreted as a social word that has a high sense of brotherhood. So it can be interpreted that tradition Indahan customs of nasinaor. This is a traditional event that aims to establish a sense of brotherhood so that they are more compact with one another. Oral traditions are the traditional cultural activities of a group of communities that are passed down from generation to generation through oral media from one individual to another from the word order (verbal) or other non-verbal traditions. The purpose of this thesis is to describe the stages carried out in the process indahan customs of nasinaor, describes the function of the activity indahan customs of nasinaor,describes the values of the oral tradition at each stage indahan customs of nasinaor. The theory used is the theory of Oral Traditions put forward by Robert Sibarani. In this thesis using descriptive method. The results obtained in this thesis there are eight stages Indahan customs of nasinaor, event function indahan customs of nasinaor, and nine values of oral tradition in each stage indahan customs of nasinaor.
