The need for large reactive power by the load will increase the voltage on the transmission line which can exceed the desired limit. This will affect the quality of the voltage at the receiving end of the line. Application of Static Var Compensator (SVC) and Capacitor Bank as one way to improve the voltage profile. In this study, the simulation results obtained after the installation of SVC can be seen that not only the voltage on the system is improved but also improves the voltage across the bus and reduces the number of system losses. The simulation results using ETAP software version 12.6 show that after the installation of SVC and Capacitor Bank not only the voltage on the system bus is installed but also improves the voltage across the bus and reduces the number of system losses. Overall installation of SVC losses decreased from 48.4656 MW to 43.1941 MW or as much as 10.87%. Overall, bank losses decreased by 48.4656 MW to 43.5499 MW or as much as 10.14%. The results are reliable that it is effective to reduce the number of system losses more by installing Capacitors than SVC in the transmission system
