Perancangan Mixed Reality untuk Terapi Eksposur Mysophobia Menggunakan Markerless

Abstract

Phobias are intense but unrealistic fears and anxiety that can affect social skills and productivity in everyday life. Mysophobia is a type of phobia or psychological condition. Mysophobia is an abnormal and persistent fear or anxiety of feces that is often caused by negative past experiences. In this study, we will discuss making applications to carry out appropriate therapy to reduce anxiety or fear disorders faced. The therapy used is in vivo exposure therapy with a systematic desensitization technique. In vivo exposure therapy is a therapy where the patient is confronted directly by the source of his phobia in real life. The systematic desensitization technique is a slow approach to the source of the phobia accompanied by relaxation so that the patient can calmly reduce his fear and anxiety. The technology used is Mixed Reality, which transfers created virtual objects to the real world and allows users to interact directly with those objects. In this study, the application of Mixed Reality technology for mysophobia therapy was implemented using Microsoft HoloLens. Users can interact with markerless objects and use the Spatial Awareness method in a real environment which helps in healing mysophobia. In the results of the application testing, 80% of respondents agreed that the Mixed Reality application could be a choice for Mysophobia therapy.
