Interpretasi Dokter Spesialis Forensik dan Medikolegal pada Fotografi Forensik dalam Menilai Usia Memar Berdasarkan Tingkatan Temperatur Warna Lampu

Abstract

Background: One of the most important components in photography is lighting. In estimating the age of bruises, forensic specialists use parameters derived from the color of the bruise. During the day, lighting can come from sunlight, but at night, lighting must use lights. LED lights have different color temperatures, including warm white, natural white and cool white. Different color temperatures can produce different color of bruises. This is very important to do so that it becomes a reference for using the type of lamp color temperature in a more precise forensic photography examination. Methods: This study is an observational study with an experimental research design. Bruises are made by cupping the thighs, then taking pictures with warm white (3000K), natural white (4000K) and cool white (6500K) lights on the first, third, fifth, seventh and ninth day of the bruise. The expert was asked to interpret the age of the bruise on the photo that had been given. Result: Bruises appear red, purple, green and yellow and disappear on day 10. The interpretation of forensic and medicolegal specialists on bruise photos with natural white lighting has an accuracy of 93%, while cool white lighting is 87% and warm white is 53%. Conclusion: Lighting with a natural white temperature lamp is very appropriate for use in forensic photography.
