Faktor-Faktor yang Memengaruhi Perilaku Seksual Remaja di SMA XWZ Medan Tahun 2012

Abstract

Physical change in the adolescent is the maturity of their body organs including their reproductive and sexual organs resulting in the emergence of sexual interest and curiosity about sexual practice. Based on the result of the behavior study conducted by the Center for Study and Child Protection in Medan, it was found out that 32% of the adolescent have done sexual behavior. The purpose of this analytical survey study with cross-sectional approach was to analyze the factors influencing the sexual behavior of the adolescent at XWZ Senior High School Medan. The population of the study were all of the 269 students of XWZ Senior High School Medan and samples were students of class XI and XII that is 153 students. The data were analyzed through univariate, bivariate with chi-square test and multivariate analysis with multiple logistic regression. The result of the study showed that 95 students (62.1%) have done mild sexual behavior and 58 student (37.9%) have done severe sexual behavior. The variable of knowledge was the variable with dominant significance influence on the adolescent sexual behavior (Coeficient of B=1.468). The management of XWZ Medan Senior High School Medan is suggested 1) to provide a reproductive health education about adolescent sexual behavior, 2) to monitor the use of internet and encourage the adolescent to be wise in using the internet, and 3) to estabilish peer group to discuss sex education so that the adolescent can choose good peer group in order not to be influenced in doing sexual behavior.
