    Abstract
    The main cause of torston in a building during the earthquakc vibration is the unsynmetrical distribution between mass and stifness. Lateral resisting element should be able to retain various kinds of earthquake. Backbone curtte and its hysteretic curve describe versatile modeling of cyclic behovior of reinforced concrete structure and enobles modeling af the sffain-sofiening behavior during the load- One of the porameters which forming backbone curtte is plastic rotation capacity. This research is concerned with porametric study in building model with lateral resisting element like slrcor wall with the variation of stffiess eccentricity and the variation of plastic rotation capoctty at 2D in order to find out the structure rotatton through displacement which occurs on Jlexible wall and stiff wall. The difference between displacement offlexible and stiffwalls brings about rotation onfloors. The structure will be analyzed by usrng Ruaumoko program in elastic ond inelastic condition with time history analysis method and provided with earthquake excitation in pulse and no-pulse earthquakz characteristics. Plastic rotation capacity can cause the irrcrease in displacement of stiffwoll up to 64% on the stiffside and 1996 onflexible side. Meorm,hile, in normalization displacement plastic rotation capocity con reach jjo% on stiffside and 209% onfl*ible side. Tle inlluerrce of pulse earthquake excitation in displacement is bigger than that which is caused by no-pulse eonhquake excitation. The dffirence in displacement is 1194 on stif side and 43% on flexible side.
