The Siranggas Wildlife Sanctuary area is one of the tropical forests in North Sumatra that is rich in plant species, one of which is the Arecaceae tribe, but it is not yet known how many types there are. The Siranggas Wildlife Sanctuary area adjacent to limited production forest is feared that some types of Arecaceae will be reduced before an inventory is carried out in this area. It aims toidentify the types and describe the morphology of Arecaceae in the Siranggas Wildlife Sanctuary Area of Pakpak Bharat District. The research was conductedfrom March to July 2022 using an exploration method, by exploring along the trails in the Siranggas Wildlife Sanctuary. The results of the study obtained seven clans belonging to 17 types of Arecaceae; nine types have creeping statureand eight types are trees. The most types are obtained from the Calamus clan as many as seven types and followed by the Pinanga clan as many as five types. The fewest types of the genera Arenga, Chamaedora, Korthalsia, Plectocomiopsis and Salacca are of one type each.en_US
