dc.description.abstractIn a hotel there is a marketing department that has an important role to increase sales of rooms and meeting rooms. The sales profit of each hotel is the result of the hard work of the Marketing Department in charge of promoting and selling the hotel’s products. The purpose of this study was to determine how the important role of the marketing department to increase sales of rooms and meeting rooms at Pancur Gading Hotel and Resort. The research method used is Library research where data is obtained from books, journals, articles and other literature sources, as well as using field research methods in the form of observations and interviews directly with the Marketing Department of Pancur Gading Hotel and Resort. The results obtained are the Marketing Department at Pancur Gading Hotel and Resort has several roles in increasing sales of rooms and meeting rooms, namely: (1) Observing companies that produce similar products; (2) Trigger the interest of customers or prospective guests; (3) Create or improve strategies in product marketing.en_US
