Kepercayaan Masyarakat Terhadap Pengobatan Alternatif Patah Tulang (Studi Kasus Pengobatan Patah Tulang P. Gurusinga dan Tawar Kemkem)

Abstract

Traditional medicine is one of the treatment and care efforts in other ways outside of medical science. The fact indicates that the two ways of health services, both traditional treatment and modern medicine until now ii still have a place in the community. The purpose of this study is to determine how public confidence in the alternative treatment of bone fractures in which case studies on alternative treatment of bone .fractures P.Gurusinga and Tawar Kem-Kem. This research is a qualitative study that described the public trust in alternative treatment fractures using in-depth interview method (depth interview). Informants in this study is using community treatment services (a patient) in the treatment of P. Gurusinga and Tawar Kem-Kem, selected with suitability and adequacy of the method as much as 10 ir,formants. My research results showed that public confidence arose because the influence of five indicators, among other things from people's knowledge of alternative treatment of bone fractures, broken bones reputation alternative medicine, alternative medicine is influenced by the .fracture, secu1ity and comfort in alternative medicine, and the last one is a useful alternative trea(f'ent of fractures within the local community, where the results knowledge informants about the treatment of bone opportunity is a result of recommendations from the people closest and most informants felt uncomfortable using alternative treatments and partly for the treated patients felt the lack of comfort of staying in terms of facilities. And all informants also adhere to the rules and taboos-taboos that exist in the alternative treatment of bone fractures and to provide benefits in acco,:dance with what the informants are needed healing that qffects the emergence of a belief in the treatment given and the desire to recover from the informants. Start the emergence of public confidence in the use of traditional medicine in dealing with their, health problems despite a complete and modern medical treatment, became one• of great concern for the government to be able to reconcile the traditional treatment with medical treatment.
