    Abstract
    Indonesia known as agrarian country, where in the area of rice fields require the existence of a good Irrigation Network System, To increase the harvest of these rice fields, the Indonesian government began to build Irrigation Network System in Indonesia. One of Irrigation Network System is Irrigation Area of Namu Sira - Sira located in Sei Bingei Sub-district of Langkat Regency. This irrigation area receives water supply from the Namu Sira - Sira dam built in 1979 with an irrigating capacity of about 6500 ha of agricultural land. For that, the use of the carrier channel as a water delivery is needed. Checking the building gutters that play sabagai building role on the irrigation channel irrigation area irrigation namu sira sira especially marcapada area which has 4 building gutters. In the first building of the gutter the discharge was 0.240 m³/s, the second discharge chamber was 0.189 m³/s, the third gate of the discharge was 0.1776 m³/s, the fourth gutter of the discharge was 0.161 m³/s. The existence of gutter as a carrier building can be replaced with siphon building, gutters and siphon is a water-carrying building that helps in facing obstacles and field obstacles. To that end, the authors compare and plan the building of siphon for the location of the fourth gutters by calculating the energy losses occurring in both, with total energy loss in building gutters 0.12 and siphon building 0.089. With the existence of comparative factors and situations in the field, it will be determined more efficient buildings conducted in the field.
