dc.description.abstractThis study aims to see the effect of compensation on job satisfaction at PT. Nusantara Plantation II Tanjung Morawa. Job satisfaction is the level of employee satisfaction with work related to the nature of the work assignments, work results achieved, comfort obtained as well as feelings of pleasure and feelings of liking for the work undertaken. One of the factors that influence job satisfaction is compensation. Compensation is the company's remuneration for its employees for their performance, both direct compensation such as salaries, bonuses and incentives and indirect compensation such as health insurance. The sample used in this study amounted to 84 employees. The sampling technique in this study was incidental sampling. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method using a Like-ert scale. The method of collecting data on job satisfaction and compensation was carried out using a job satisfaction scale and a compensation scale compiled by the researcher. The results showed that the significance value of simple linear regression was 0.000 <0.05, so that there was an effect of compensation on job satisfaction. The regression equation in this study is Y = 28.707 + 0.889X, which means that compensation has a positive effect on job satisfaction. The results of the study also show that compensation has an effect on job satisfaction by 61.8%. The majority of research subjects have high levels of job satisfaction and the majority of research subjects' job satisfaction levels are moderate.en_US
